Chasing Salazar

Chasing Salazar

My decades-long quest to find out how and why Ruben Salazar was slain was among the articles featured in the Los Angeles Times as a part of an impressive  package of stories commemorating the 50th anniversary of the National Chicano Moratorium Against the Vietnam War. A Los Angeles Times columnist and KMEX-TV news director, Salazar was slain by a sheriff’s deputy after violence broke at the 1970 protest in East L.A.

Here’s a link to my first-person piece and the rest of the Chicano Moratorium series.
